Jean Paul Knott's inspiration for the Men FW15/16 Collection lies in the haunting film by Paul Schrader, "Cat People". Creating a daring world where half mortal half leopard creatures are wrecked by their desires, the film presents a sexual frustration. In the film, the creatures transform into savage black leopards while making love and they kill their human lovers: a brilliant metaphor for today’s world and a source of inspiration for Jean Paul Knott.

Celebrating the 15th birthday of the brand, Jean Paul Knott's muse is Nastassja Kinski, Cat People's lead actress, who artfully welcomes the audience through a hazy path of forbidden passion. Dwelling on this forbidden passion, Jean Paul Knott has selected key elements from each season throughout the fifteen years.

Through this inspiration combined with the years of experience, the collection represents the key qualities of Jean Paul Knott as a brand: expert draping, classic tailoring and artful manipulation of unique fabrics.

Along with the unchanging quality, the colors are ever so Jean Paul Knott as well: black on black, white on black with a splash of blue. Moreover, prints are provided by Jean Paul Knott’s continuing collaborations with global artists.

For FW 15/16, the brand has collaborated with Zena Bou Diore, whose work has been prominently presented at the Jean Paul Knott Gallery. Additionally, a dark and enticing leopard print has been used, reflecting on the influence of Cat People.
